Its interesting how young people, and perhaps old people, will do almost anything to stand out from the crowd; to be noted as something different and therefore valid and important… and yet, at the same time we often avoid standing out like the plague. Have we reached a point where it is imperative that we stand out so that we can blend in with the others around us?
Anyway… enough pondering, it makes my head hurt. Speaking of hurts, and heads… never move a ladder when there is a chisel sitting on the top rung. They are distinctively painful. Last night I finished painting (first coat) in the front bedroom. I’ve made myself a list of jobs to be finished before visitors arrive on Friday week… And I’ve made the list of jobs to tackle with visitors’ help
but I won’t go into detail incase they miss the train!
This week is essentially survival mode… 7 school days to go this Term. I can’t wait. School is going okay, but its starting to mess with my freedom a bit. My week generally goes as such…
Monday 8 to 4:30 then 6:30 to 8:30 (Stage Band)
Tuesday 8 to 3 then piano teaching from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7:30-8:30
Wednesday 8 to 4:30 (Band)
Thursday 8 to 6:30 (Drum teaching)
Friday 8 to 3 (Escape as quickly as possible).
OGT? Stage Band has been kind of good for my soul of late… good bunch of people mostly.
We wouldn’t miss the train, we just might forget to get off at the right spot.
Getting worried about ‘the list’ though, may I suggest that you don’t bring it with you when you collect us. Get us to the remote location, trapping us for 10 or so days, that will go down better.
The trouble with chisels is they have a pointy end, and that can be a bit worse than a donk on the head. Painting can be fun though….unless one’s beloved wants to paint the entire outside of one’s house.
OMG, what colour??
I’m fighting a rear-guard action against purple. Keeping it the same colour would be the ultimate for me, although the colour worries me less than the potential drop from the front end of the eastern wall.
Shudder… Pink maybe?? Match Muses then.
thought the muse went for green
Muse r u being paid properly for all these hours? thats just to many. In my defence id rather do the painting before the deck so we dont damage the deck after its done and have to do it again(killer job). Colours mmm not green. Yes scoop that front end is a Huge Problem anyone like heights?
Pay someone to do the front…. it’s just not worth it, do not set up a ladder anywhere near the front of your house…….. Muse, we may or may not set up a ladder out the front of your place….
does the muse have a ladder
Joe joe joe… Ring me re saxophone when u get a chance… Dan quit his job in a rage of annoyance against office politics and so needs the money from the saxophone to eat for a few weeks while he investigates his career choices.
Rock on.
oh… and guess who else is painting! ME… I’ve gone with a paint called “designer lady in red” for the lounge feature wall; and a nice plum temptation for the bedroom… very exciting! Can’t wait to swap photos… P.s… as soon as I get a new job, I’m starting a ‘go to charters fund’.
oh and scoop… purple is in this year.
Dan love your work plum temptation sounds good. thanks for the supporting the colour purple.
Yep….that Whoopi Goldberg visual is just wonderful!
Purple is not in this year…. only as a bruise, thats the only thing purple is good for…
Rooms designed for love should be pink, so I am told, pink everything, sheets, walls, doors, candles etc etc, not plum.
Dan, good on ya for fighting against the office crap, not… hmmmm I can see you writing a book, I would buy it.
DANNNNNNNNNN, I meant NOW……….. but accidently typed not.
you are joking about pink?
PINK!!!
no. you are joking
DAN hello
Hi nicki.
And I really hope you’re joking about pink also!
Red is the colour of love and passion.
And purple is going to rule!
How the color purple effects us mentally and physically
* Uplifting
* Calming to mind and nerves
* Offers a sense of spirituality
* Encourages creativity
enough said.
I thought pink was for passion and love, red was for lust…. hmmm all these years, no wonder I have no luck….I can’t stand PINK. Slowly warming to purple, but I still wouldn’t paint my house with it.
I am the Anti-Purple.
I know
